Jane Austen Quilt Kit: Medallion Coverlet with Fabric & Template from Riley Blake

There's something truly magical about stitching a quilt connected to history — and this one has the most beautiful story behind it. The Jane Austen Medallion Coverlet Kit is a faithful reproduction of a quilt made by Jane Austen herself, along with her sister Cassandra and their mother. The original is held by the Jane Austen House, and Riley Blake worked directly with them to bring it to quilters today.

The design is a stunning English medallion with a large central diamond, surrounded by 232 smaller diamonds and interconnected spotted sashing, with an outer border containing over 2,500 tiny diamonds. Riley Blake's fabrics feature music written by Jane Austen and passages from her personal letters — making every piece of this quilt a little piece of literary history.
